The lush tropical garden are fed by plentiful amounts of rain.  Keaau, where the bungalows are located about 20 mins south of Hilo, gets 130 inch of rain a year. So plan your trip to get wet.  

But the good news is that it is warm, daytime highs between 68F and 83F.  And for the most part, showers are brief and then are moved along by the trade winds.  In the winter you are more likely to catch a solid week of rain.

On average, the warmest month is August. The highest recorded temperature was 94°F in 1966. On average, the coolest month is January. The lowest recorded temperature was 53°F in 1962. November is the average wettest month.
