As part of building our dream getaway we brought a new building method to the island, namely Lava Flow Wall construction.

Pumice has been used for years to build houses and walls in New Mexico and anywhere there is a source of lava cinder.

We used what we learned to pour over 500 feet of walls. We started mixing by hand to test the local materials and then developed large scale delivery.
